SEAT is the most famous Spanish car manufacturer that has been continuously producing cars since the fifties. Actually it is the only major car manufacturer from Spain. Seat was established in 1950 with some help from Fiat, the Italian car maker. Now it is part of the German Volkswagen Group. The company is very successful selling more than forty thousand vehicles a year mainly for the domestic market but also quite a few cars from the new and used Seat range are exported abroad. This is because of the widespread popularity of SEAT cars mainly in European countries like Germany, Poland and France. This make is a bit less popular in non European countries like the United States but even there, SEAT’s sales figures begin to look rather optimistic. The reason why the cars are so sought after is because they are reliable, do not break very often and even if they do the cost of spare parts for a used SEAT and maintenance is rather low in comparison to other makes. It is popular to buy a used SEAT as well. The distinctive features of all cars produced by SEAT are their excellent appearance and handling properties that are what motorists expect most of all from their cars. Seat also makes parts and suspensions for other makes of the Volkswagen Group and has one of the newest car assembly facilities what makes sure the production is very efficient.
